I just wanted to take a second to explain about my posts on my Favorite Books. Obviously this is just my opinion, and I have the greatest respect for all authors. There's something about a writer that can sit down and pull an imaginary world full of imaginary characters out of their head that impresses me, even if I don't particularly care for the genre of the story. Foe example, I don't really care for sci-fi, but I loved "Stranger in A Strange Land" by Robert Heinlein. Maybe because it was such a vivid picture of a not too distant seeming future that he painted in my minds eye, or the language that he used, that made it one of my favorite reads of all time. The point is, I have great respect for the art of pulling a reader in and keeping them hooked. That's why my favorite books are so vastly different, and I think that's what helps you become well rounded. So as you read my blog, and learn a little more about me, keep in mind that even though the tittle of the blog contains the words "Chick Lit", that doesn't define what it's about.
